TERMS AND CONDITIONS

AGENCIA DE VIAJES FAYTUR S.A. TERMS OF USE

Agencia de Viajes Faytur S.A. believes in protecting your privacy. Ensure that the terms therein are reasonable and acceptable to you. Your use of this site and acceptance of these terms is confirmation of your agreement to our Privacy Policy.

CONFIRMATION AND DEPOSIT POLICY FOR TOUR PACKAGES

Prices in quotes are not final and are subject to availability. Attempt to confirm any request will be made only upon receipt of a deposit of $500.00 per person. Deposit will be charged only when services are confirmed as per initial request.

FINAL PAYMENT FOR TOUR PACKAGES

Generally, final payment is due 60 days prior to date of departure. Bookings within 60 days of departure are subject to immediate payment following confirmation.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS FOR TOUR PACKAGES

For a confirmed booking any change after confirmation has a fee of $50. If cancellation is received in writing by Agencia de Viajes Faytur S.A. within 60 days before, a refund will be made, minus a $700.00 administrative charge plus the applicable supplier cancellation fees. No refunds will be made if cancellation is made 45 days before the arrival. 

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure all document requirements such as valid passport and entry visas are obtained for all destinations. We do not offer visa information. Please consult the respective consulate. 

NEW PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAVELERS

Starting on Dec. 31, 2006, all nationals (U.S. and foreign) will be required to hold a valid passport to enter or re-entering the United States through airports and seaports. The new passport requirement means that birth certificates and other government issued I.D. will no longer be an acceptable proof of citizenship. Please take this information into account if your passport is due to expire or if you need to get a passport.

TAXES

You acknowledge that Agencia de Viajes Faytur S.A. do not collect taxes for remittance to applicable taxing authorities. The tax recovery charges on prepaid hotel, car rental agencies, tour operators, transportation providers transactions that are a recovery of the estimated taxes that the Agencia de Viajes Faytur S.A. pay to the suppliers for taxes due on the rental of the room, car or activity. The suppliers invoice the Agencia de Viajes Faytur S.A. for tax amounts. The suppliers are responsible for remitting applicable taxes to the applicable taxing jurisdictions. None of Agencia de Viajes Faytur S.A.

INSURANCE

Issues during your travel may occur for which we cannot be held responsible for but you can be insured against. We highly recommend that you take out insurance to provide adequate coverage for medical expenses, personal accident, loss of baggage and changes to or cancellation of your trip. Individuals are responsible to finance on the spot medical treatment and other contingencies, and then to reclaim this from insurance, if covered. You will be required to provide documentation to the insurance company to facilitate a claim. Please note that there are exclusions to coverage of insurance.

SUPPLIER RULES AND RESTRICTIONS

The packages on the website are provided to us by third party suppliers (independent contractors) such as hotels, car rental agencies, tour operators, transportation providers etc. and they are not agents or employees of Agencia de Viajes Faytur S.A. or its companies. Some suppliers may require you to present a credit card or cash deposit upon check-in to cover additional expenses incurred during your time with them. Such deposit is unrelated to any payment received by Agencia de Viajes Faytur, S.A. for your booking. You acknowledge that some third-party providers offering certain services and/or activities may require you to sign their liability waiver before participating in the service and/or activity they offer. You understand that any violation of any such supplier's rules and restrictions may result in cancellation of your reservation(s), in your being denied access to the applicable travel product or services, in your forfeiting any monies paid for such reservation(s), and/or in our debiting your account for any costs we incur as a result of such violation. Payments for travel products and services received by Agencia de Viajes Faytur S.A. are received by us as the agent of the supplier. Furthermore, Agencia de Viajes Faytur S.A. and affiliates have no legal binding and will not refund or reimburse monies paid to the Website in the event of causes beyond their control such as delays, cancellations, overbooking, strike, re-routing, force majeure or any acts of government or authority or any other event beyond our control. We are not responsible for any additional expenses due to such events. We will however, endeavour to notify you of any details that have changed to our knowledge via email or phone and attempt to assist you with alternate plans at your expense. All documents issued to travelers are non – transferable. Such documents may include but are not limited to, airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers, or any other document used to confirm an arrangement with a Supplier. Such documents may also be subject to conditions such as, but not limited to, being non – refundable, non – date – changeable and subject to cancellation or amendment fees. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the conditions of the Supplier.
